We continue with Gun Witch, Book 1 of the “Tooth & Claw” series, a modern paranormal action series set to debut later this year.
Monica King, a young witch, is about to launch a war against the shadowy creatures called the Scaravae with her assortment of magic and guns. Having met with a contact, Dillon, at a local cafe, Monica takes her leave, unaware that someone is watching her…

Two men sat in a car, and watched.
The vehicle was nondescript, an off-blue sedan neither new enough or so old and beat-up that it drew attention, and it was parked on the street between a couple of other vehicles a block away from Cafe D’art.
The men were a bit more notable than their vehicle because they were relatively young and handsome, one blonde, one with jet black hair. Both wore a few days of stubble and had strong aquiline jaws, but neither of them really stood out in a crowd, which was by design. They had scars, but none that were visible beneath their casual sweatshirts and slacks, and with their sunglasses on they could both watch the Gun Witch as she emerged from the door across the street and headed for her Harley Davidson Sportster while also keeping their eyes open for signs of trouble without looking like they were watching for anything…just a couple of guys hanging out downtown, drinking coffee and shooting the shit.
“There she is,” the dark-haired one, Roth, said as Monica dropped the duffel into her bike’s saddlebag. “Did Talbot tell you what’s in the bag?”
“Yep,” the blonde one, Cole, answered, “and it’s a stupid idea.”

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
You are such a tease, Steven! A stupid idea, huh? Pick up from here next week??? 🙂
Absolutely! =D
Sounds like danger is already following her. I want to know what’s in the bag! LOL
That bag is creating a LOT of intrigue! LOL
Stupid, really? Now I’m dying to know. 🙂
Mission accomplished!
Fantastic visualization as always. 😀
Interesting new twist to the story. Really vivid description of the two men – I’d recognize them anywhere now LOL! Terrific excerpt…
You got me wondering what’s a stupid idea.
