Six-Sentence Sunday: An Excerpt from THE WITCH’S EYE

Welcome to Six-Sentence Sunday!

In this week’s snippet from THE WITCH’S EYE, Danica and Ronan have a rare heart-to-heart, and she beholds a rarely glimpsed human side to the hardened assassin.

Danica swore she saw tears in his eyes.

“It’s nice to know where you belong,” he said.  “Not many people ever figure that out.  When you do…you fight to hang onto it.”  He looked at her.  “You know what I mean?”

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head on over to Six Sunday and check out the other participating authors!

To see the emotion from someone who is so hardened is moving. Great choice of snippet.

Thank you, J.M. Ronan’s return to humanity, and how that reflects Danica’s own mental return from the turmoil she’s endured, is one of the central themes of the novel.

Something tells me she knows *exactly* what he means. Great six, as always. 🙂

Man, I love all this. And I’ve missed your sixes! All of a sudden, I had a dozen of your posts from the last couple weeks show up in my reader today. I thought you’d taken a break from SSS, but I’m so glad to see you haven’t. Google Reader was just messing with me, lol.
